Line Of Duty actor Rochenda Sandall has hinted the series finale might not answer fans’ biggest question of all – who is H?

Viewers of the hit BBC One drama are currently speculating about the identity of the mysterious figure, who is heading up an organised crime group from inside the police force.

Although AC-12 boss Ted Hastings is currently under firm suspicion, Rochenda – who plays OCG member Lisa McQueen – has suggested fans might have to wait until the next series to get some answers.

Speaking on Monday’s edition of This Morning, she told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “It will certainly have some form of conclusion, but as I’m sure you’re all aware, there’s still another series to go… and there’s lots of details.”

Phillip said: “Will we find out who H is next weekend?”

Rochenda replied: “I can’t tell you that! Come on!”

Asked if she even knew H’s real identity herself, she coyly replied: “Maybe I do, maybe I don’t...

“My mum is desperate for an exclusive and every week she rings and I tell her, ‘absolutely no way’! But most people don’t want to know as they like being the detectives as well.”

Rochenda also addressed one popular fan theory that suggests her character is the child of series one antagonist DCI Tony Gates and his former lover Jackie Laverty.

The theory suggests McQueen was conceived when the pair were together during the 90s and is seeking revenge against AC-12 for her parents’ death.

Responding to the speculation, Rochenda had a very wry smile, before adding: “I have heard of that [rumour] and that’s a really prominent rumour going around and I like that rumour. It’s a great idea... but I can’t say about that really.”

Sunday night’s episode of Line Of Duty saw Superintendent Hastings charged with conspiracy to murder rogue undercover operative John Corbett, with newcomer Detective Chief Superintendent Carmichael also determined to prove Hastings is really H.

However, he maintains that he is being set up, with current fan theories suggesting legal counsel Gill Biggeloe and former officer Mark Moffatt have played a part in fitting him up.

Line Of Duty concludes on Sunday at 9pm on BBC One with an extended 90 minute episode. This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
