After 10 years behind the microphone, Fearne Cotton has hosted her last show on Radio 1.

As regulars listeners will know, the highly-coveted 10am to 12.45pm slot comes with an important responsibility - the keys to the Live Lounge.

Taylor's Vance Joy cover is one of our favourite moments

The Live Lounge segment of the show began back in Jo Whiley’s day and, since then, under Fearne’s guardianship, it’s played host to everyone from Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran to FKA Twigs and London Grammar.

There have been plenty of standout moments and unexpected covers over the years, including Ben Howard’s rendition of Kiesza's ‘Hideaway’, and Adele’s cover of ‘Promise This’, originally by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

The Live Lounge also gives up-and-coming stars a chance to show Radio 1’s listeners what they’re capable of, and just weeks ago, newcomers Slaves did exactly that, with their version of Skepta’s ‘Shutdown’.
