'The Night Manager' Series Two: Tom Hiddleston Addresses Rumours About The Show's Future

Will it be back for a second series?

Tom Hiddleston has addressed speculation about the future of ‘The Night Manager’, confessing that even he’s not sure whether the hit mini-series will be back for a second round.

He’s insisted that it’s all down to author John Le Carré - who penned the original novel series on which ‘The Night Manager’ TV show was based - about whether or not a second series was to hit our screens in the future.

When quizzed about whether he’d be gearing up to play Inspector Jonathan Pine again, Tom told Entertainment Weekly: Truthfully, I think it is still in the lap of Le Carré himself.

Tom was lauded by critics on both sides of the pond for his role in ‘The Night Manager’ (and not just for that sex scene), eventually snagging an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Jonathan Pine.

His appearance in the show even added fuel to the fire that he was being lined up as a potential replacement for Daniel Craig, as the next 007 in the ‘James Bond’ film series.

But Tom isn’t the only ‘Night Manager’ star to have been nominated for an Emmy, with Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman also up for gongs.

The show itself has also been nominated for Outstanding Limited Series, while Susanne Bier and David Farr’s directing and writing respectively have also received nods.
