The ‘Coronation Street on Tour’ event has been confirmed, and tickets for the first stop in Glasgow are now on sale.

A previous ‘Corrie’ set tour was based at the soap’s old Manchester studios and the new plans will see props, actual cobbles, official sets and memorabilia on display at venues around the country.

The tour will begin in Glasgow on 27 August, remaining there until 1 January, when it will relocate to Belfast.

The event will see a giant, inflatable showdome erected, and it will play home to actual sets, props and memorabilia.

It’s not just ‘Corrie’ fans who are being given the chance to get a little closer to their favourite soap this summer, as ‘Emmerdale’ fans can also book tickets to tour the Yorkshire village where the ITV show is filmed.

On select weekends across the coming months, the closed set will open its doors to fans who fancy a sneak peek behind the scenes.
