Anita Rani has joined the 'Strictly' line-up

“So many elements of 'Strictly' terrify me but I shall try and think #BeyonceAlwaysOnBeat as I hit the dance floor,” the ‘Watchdog’ and ‘Countryfile’ host said.

“I'm so excited to indulge that fantasy and hopefully learn some mean moves in the process. Let's get our groove on!”

Anita’s unveiling followed the news that former The Wanted singer Jay McGuiness would be taking part, earlier on Monday.

The pair join boxer Anthony Ogogo, BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, ‘EastEnders’ actress Kellie Bright, singer Peter Andre, broadcaster Jeremy Vine, TV chef Ainsley Harriott, former ‘Corrie’ star Georgia May Foote, singer Daniel O’Donnell and newsreader Katie Derham on the line-up.

More contestants for the new series are expected to be announced in due course, with ex-Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton, ‘Call The Midwife’ actress Helen George, TV gardener Alan Titchmarsh and couple Louise and Jamie Redknapp among the rumoured names.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns to BBC One on 5 September.
