Dancing On Ice: Phillip Schofield Forced To Apologise As Maura Drops F-Bomb

The former Love Island star seemingly forgot she was broadcasting live to millions of ITV viewers.

Phillip Schofield was forced to apologise during this week’s Dancing On Ice, after Maura Higgins got a little too excited and apparently forgot she was broadcasting live to the nation.

During Sunday night’s show, the contestants who had made it through to the next stage of the competition were announced one by one, with Maura among the last to be revealed.

When the former Love Island star avoided the dreaded skate-off, she had a rather OTT announcement, with many viewers wondering whether they were mistaken, or whether she’d actually declared “thank fuck for that” live on ITV.

Well, as it turns out, that’s exactly what she said, with Phil telling viewers shortly afterwards: “Sorry if there was some bad language there.”

Not quite what you want to hear pre-watershed on a Sunday night, is it?

Sunday night saw Maura and her skating partner Alexander Demetriou delivering their second routine of the series, and besting their first score by three points with a total of 25/40.

However, Maura revealed that she’d been struggling with confidence issues ahead of the performance.

The big moment of the night came right at the beginning of the show, though, when it was revealed that Caprice and her skating partner would not be appearing as they had “parted ways”.

An ITV rep told HuffPost UK: “Unfortunately, Caprice and Hamish have parted ways.

“As you saw in our opening number Hamish remains very much part of our professional team and we hope to have Caprice back on the ice next week.”

Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
