Kate Bush Tour: Here's 7 More Acts From ABBA To ELO Who We'd Like To See Perform Live Before We Die

7 Class Acts, Like Kate Bush, Who We Need To See Live Before We Die

Kate Bush's announcement that she is to play a series of shows in London - her first since 1979 - has sent fans (and us) into a spin.

We'll be the first in the queue for tickets when they go on sale but Kate isn't the only tour-shy act that we'd like to see live.

ABBA, ELO and The Smiths are just a few of the musical greats that haven't bothered an arena in a very long time but we'd love to see them together again on stage at least once before we die.

Alas, we don't think it'll ever happen - but then again, we thought that about Kate...

7 Musical Acts We Want To See Live
ABBA(01 of07)

The Swedish supergroup, who always insisted it was difficult to replicate their multi-layered and highly produced sound live, last toured in 1979. They've since been offered an incredible $1billion to reform and hit the road but all four have said it will never happen. Booooo! (credit:PA)
Frankie Goes To Hollywood(02 of07)

They came, they saw, they conquered, but it was all over SO quickly, which is why Holly Johnson and the boys need to remind us of their greatness. And let's face it, it's not like they haven't had enough time to learn how to play their instruments. (credit:PA)
Wham!(03 of07)

Yeah, yeah we know George hasn't been afraid to belt out some of the classics from his Wham! days on his solo tours but it's not quite the same without his old sidekick Andrew Ridgeley next to him pretending to play the guitar. Come on boys, get that Final Final tour sorted, please. (credit:PA)
The Jam(04 of07)

Paul Weller's old band last toured in 1982 shortly before he split with Bruce Foxton and Rick Butler and formed The Style Council. But that hasn't stopped original member Foxton gigging with (ahem) From The Jam. Oh dear. Time for Paul and Rick to put things right and regroup for one last hurrah, we reckon. (credit:PA)
Eurythmics(05 of07)

Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart might have gone on to tour individually after the Eurythmics split up but what we REALLY want is for them to hit the road again with all of those classic electro hits. They did briefly reunite to record the 'Peace' album in 1999 which they took on the road, but 15 years later we think another reunion would go down rather well. (credit:PA)
The Smiths(06 of07)

Earlier this year Morrissey said he didn't know anyone who wanted to see The Smiths get back together. Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, he said: "I don't know a single person who wants a Smiths reunion. There aren't any bands I like to see again because your memory of them is how they were in their prime or at their best or at their most desperate, and you look to them to be someone that they no longer are." Let's face it, hell will freeze over before this happens but we can dream, can't we? (credit:PA)
ELO(07 of07)

The Electric Light Orchestra's frontman, Jeff Lynne, was recently put on the spot by Radio 2 Breakfast host Chris Evans who asked him if ELO would perform for Children In Need next year. After receiving thousands of texts of support from listeners, LA-based Jeff agreed, albeit a little reluctantly so we'll just have to wait and see if this actually happens or not. (credit:PA)
