Simon Cowell Gets Real About Botox Use... And Admits He 'Maybe Had Too Much' In The Past

The Britain's Got Talent judge says he and co-star Amanda Holden find it "hysterical" to revisit their "Botox years".

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has admitted he and co-star Amanda Holden have been known to take a stroll down memory lane together, to reflect on what he’s dubbed their “Botox years”.

Simon and Amanda have worked together on all 13 series of Britain’s Got Talent, including the current series of BGT: The Champions, meaning they’ve been through a lot together in that time, including an apparent up-and-down relationship with facial injections.

Speaking to The Mirror about his nostalgia for BGT (and, apparently, Botox), he revealed: “I love watching ‘the Botox years’. All of us are like, ‘Christ, we had a lot that year. Not so much that year… maybe a bit too much that year’.”

“You know, the old clips of us are hysterical. Amanda’s always like, ‘What was I thinking?’. I said, ‘Well, I don’t look a lot better.’”

“I look all right now,” he added. “But certain years it was like, ‘wow’. I don’t know what was going on.”

Last year, Simon revealed that he’d undergone a non-surgical “sewing bioplastic-infused thread” face-lift, which he admitted “hurt like hell”.

“There’s lots of things you can do now,” he told The Sun at the time. “You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox. It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap.”

A year earlier, Simon had joked about his co-star’s Botox use during one of the BGT live shows, remarking to Amanda, during a critique of a child magic act: “She uses magic, you use Botox.”

Fellow judge David Walliams couldn’t resist a dig at his boss whenhis turn to speak came up, though, telling Simon: “It’s a good thing you’ve never used Botox, eh?”
