The Formula One presenter has been linked with a possible spot on the BBC motoring show when it returns for a new series next year, and has now admitted that there have been talks about her joining.

Speaking on Wednesday’s ‘This Morning’, Suzi told Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden: “You know what it's like when you work for a channel and you have conversations… but we don’t know what’s going to happen with that show.

“So until, as a broadcaster, you know what’s going to happen with the show, I don’t think you can really think very seriously about it.”

When quizzed about whether she was being considered for the presenting gig, she confessed: “I believe so... But I’m away twenty weeks a year doing Formula 1, so unless someone has invented 48 hours in a day - which may be you have actually... it would be pretty tough, I think, for me to do it.”

Following Jeremy Clarkson’s departure from the show, Chris Evans has been named as his replacement.
