Representatives for ‘I’m A Celebrity’ stars Duncan Bannatyne and Tony Hadley have hit back at claims they were bullying Lady Colin Campbell.

It was confirmed on Wednesday that Lady C had made the decision to quit the series, just days before the final, which was originally said to be for “medical reasons”.

Since then, her agent has claimed that bullying from two of her fellow contestants “exacerbated” her condition, prompting her to leave, which reps for Tony and Duncan have now vehemently denied.

“To make accusations of bullying and biased editing is unbelievable and disrespects both the show, and the millions of fans who have tuned-in and voted night after night.”

Similarly, friends of Duncan have written on his Twitter page, disputing the claims.

The tweet on Duncan’s page references the interview given by Yvette Fielding when she left the jungle, branding Lady C “cruel” and “very strange”, adding that the rest of the celebrities were “walking on eggshells” to avoid a run-in with her.

During her time Down Under, Lady C was at the centre of several rows, including one with Tony, where she branded him a “fat blob” who couldn’t even sing very well.

Lady C will offer her side of the story for the first time in an interview on Wednesday’s ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here NOW!’, at 10pm, on ITV2.

‘I’m A Celebrity’ is a bit like walking into the unknown for her, as she’s previously only watched around 15 minutes of the show. She claims: “I have seen the show very briefly when Carol Thatcher was in the camp for about 10 minutes, and then when Martina Navratilova was in it for about five minutes. I don’t have the time to look at much television.” (credit:Rex Shutterstock)

Despite rubbing shoulders with aristocracy over the past four decades, Lady Colin clearly doesn’t have a bad word to say about the Z-list celebrities who dominate the headlines today, telling the Daily Mail: “My dear, we might look at the people who are being written about now and say 'What have they accomplished?', but 20 or 30 years ago people were being written about and they hadn't accomplished anything either, except being born into the right background.” (credit:Ian Gavan via Getty Images)
