Si’s understandably excited to have signed up, though by the sounds of things, he has a lot of work to do.

"I am so happy to be joining the team and I cannot wait to get started. I'm hopeful that ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ will help me to improve on my daddy dancing skills,” he says. “I want to make my daughter proud and no doubt she will be teaching me a pirouette or two along the way.”

This won’t be the first time on the ‘Strictly’ danefloor for Simon, as back in 2011 he starred in the Christmas special, dancing the cha-cha with professional partner Katya Virshilas.

Simon’s best-known for his time in Blue, who bagged an astounding 40 worldwide number ones before splitting in 2004.

The band later reunited in 2009 and represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011. However, things haven't gone completely to plan for the band and in 2013, Simon was declared bankrupt.

There are still 10 names to be announced, and rumoured participants include former ‘TOWIE’ star Mark Wright and ‘Xtra Factor’ presenter Caroline Flack.
